An overview about Sheikh Zayed City

It is one of the second generation cities that established in 1995. It was named after Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates at that time, after Abu Dhabi Development Bank provided a grant to create a residential and service city at the highest level in Egypt. Sheikh Zayed City is located in the northwest of Cairo and Giza. It is about 30 kilometers away from Cairo, and about 35 kilometers away from Giza. It is also close to the 6th of October City.

It was designed by Egyptian Dr. Maher Estino, a United Nations expert in city development and the designer of Al-Azhar Park and the Nubia Museum. Al-Ahly Sports Club, Sheikh Zayed Branch:

It is the third branch of the club after Al-Jazira and Nasr City two branches.
