Soma Bay is a tourist resort on the Red Sea coast of Egypt, 45 kilometers south of Hurghada International Airport. After Hurghada and El Gouna, and adjacent to Emaar's Marassi Red Sea project, the resort's surrounding area is approximately 10 million square meters, the Soma Bay peninsula, which is almost completely surrounded by sea water.
Soma Bay has several features, including diving, a collection of houses and villas overlooking the beach, and various coral reef sites. The resort includes five main sites (Sheraton, Casades Golf Resort, Robinson Club, Kempinski Hotel, and Breakers Diving Resort). There is also a large area for the resort’s golf club, which has 18 holes and includes a golf academy that has hosted several championships, some of which were organized by Gary Player, the professional golfer from South Africa. The club also offers recreational and health facilities known as “Spa” and several water sports, including “Kitesurfing,” which depends on the power of the wind.
