SODIC Real Estate Investment Company launched its project, SODIC East New Heliopolis, near El Shorouk City in 2017, on an area of 2.6 million square meters (655 acres), with a plan aimed at building a residential project that can accommodate 60,000 people.
Maged Sherif, the project's CEO, had clarified during a press conference that the period scheduled for the entire project to be implemented is 12 years since its launch in 2017 and that the delivery will be in three phases, and the total investment of the project is expected to reach 17 billion pounds. The company is expected to allocate an area of 41 acres to establish a sports club in the name of New Heliopolis, allocate 16 acres for administrative buildings and commercial activities, and 26 acres for green spaces, and nearly 26 contracting companies are working on completing the infrastructure works for the compound.
The units of the compound will be delivered without finishing, but the executing company contracts with specialized contracting companies that the owner can resort to finish finishing the unit at a high level of quality, and the areas of the twin houses vary between 200 to 300 square meters, or the standalone villa may have an area of 545 square meters, and the twin houses range from 240 square meters to 320 square meters.
