One of the oldest prestigious neighborhoods overlooking the Nile, named after its founder Nazly Bint Sulaiman, the daughter of the founder of the Egyptian Army. She built the neighborhood and a mosque when she was 90, implementing the will of her dead husband, that’s why residents named the area Agouza (The Old Lady). Agouza is close to Mohandeseen and Dukki, and it can be categorized as a luxurious residential area that hosts different clubs, restaurants and hotels. One of the drawbacks of Agouza is the heavy traffic especially at night. Its main landmarks are: 6 October Garden, Suzan Mubarak Hospital, Tawfeqeia Club. Agouza offers mostly upscale and upper-middle level housing properties. The neighborhood is close to different vital areas in Cairo and Giza, like Zamalek, Mohandeseen, and Dokki, and it can be accessed via 6 October bridge and Zamalek bridge.
