Located in Giza, Dokki is a vital residential and commercial neighborhood that was named after Dokki family that lived at the same area long time ago. Dokki is located between six main roads: Gamat Dowal, Sudan, Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Agriculture Museum, Nile and Abdel Salam Aref. Dokki is known for its upscale housing opportunities and its intense commercial activities. The neighborhood hosts different shops, banks, 56 embassies, and about 102 schools (governmental, private and language schools). Due to this commercial activity, Dokki suffers heavy traffic especially at business rush hours. The neighborhood offers a variety of housing levels, but overall it tends to host upscale and upper-middle level housing, with some areas offering middle and economic housing. Dokki’s most prominent landmarks are Bin Sarayat area, Mohy Eddin Abu Ezz, National Institution for Research, and Asad Bin Furat mosque. Dokki can be accessed using 6 October bridge, Tahrir street, and the following Metro stations (Dokki, Behouth).
