This neighborhood is located inside Giza governorate and it was named after Saudi King Faysal Abdel Aziz. Faisal is located next to Haram and it has recently morphed to become of the biggest residential neighborhoods and most populated areas in Greater Cairo. Known for its unique location as it extends from east to west Giza, it offers all kinds of services and and commercial activities. Faisal’s main drawbacks include the heavy traffic during most of the day, proliferation of slums, unauthorized building, and lack of public parking spots. Faisal hosts a number of known landmarks: Faisal street, Radio and Television, and 20 street. The neighborhood offers mostly economic housing although it used to be a bit more upscale in the past, and there are many slum and informal areas all around the neighborhood. Faisal be reached using Haram street, Faisal street, Ring Road or the Faisal Metro station.
